Welcome to Bemused Musings, Scott's own slice of simulacra on the world wide web. The purpose of this new addition to the bloggersphere is as yet almost entirely unknown, suffice to say it is the beginning of a new exploration/experiment for me and my writing. I promise to do whatever I can to exercise some semblance of self-control in order to prevent it descending into an occasional, indulgent online ramble/yawn-a-thon.

So, in order to get proceedings underway, I shall keep this first post relatively short and sweet. Hopefully by my next visit I will have a better idea what direction and form Bemused Musings will eventual take on having spontaneously set it up mainly because I finally thought of a name I liked. What I can say is that more than likely I'll be writing some responses to films I've seen and books/articles I've read, not so much critically, rather a discussion of ideas I hope. I'll also be using the blog to point out any cool stuff I discover going on around town (yes, that'll be London-centric I'm afraid) and maybe even the occasional picture of interesting things stumbled across in my meaderings. I'm sure I'll think of other stuff to do too, but for now this paragraph is long enough. Anyway, please be gentle in your judgments, setting this up feels a little like going to a nudist camp for the first time - except one with clothed spectators.
